Goodness Matters!

Goodness matters. tweet

Our goodness will outlive our greatness, if we have any goodness at all,

and it will define whatever greatness we attain.

Goodness is not a “B” grade or the runner-up.

Goodness is the very foundation on which any measure of greatness stands.

The influence of goodness remains long after

the memory of greatness has faded.

Love well what is good and keep close company with it.

“For the fruit (the effect, the product) of the Light

or the Spirit [consists] in every form of kindly goodness, uprightness of heart, and trueness of life.”

Ephesians 5:9, Amplified

(for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true)”

Ephesians 5:9, ESVUK

The image of the roses and the quote is copyrighted material of Lancia E. Smith.

The roses are among my favourites – Braveheart (red) and Cream Abundance (white).

Both roses can be acquired through Heirloom Roses and are marvelously faithful in the garden.
