“If I find in myself a desire …”

“If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy,

the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.”

~ C.S. Lewis

Vintage-rose-etching 32This painting, Midsummer’s Eve by Edward Robert Hughes, is one of my all-time favourites, as is the quote by Lewis.

They are framed together and adorn the foyer of our home so as to always remind us that this world is not our home.

We are made for a Kingdom beyond here and while we live here on earth we must live as ambassadors of that Heavenly kingdom.
